  Astream’s Streaming Video On Demand and Live Video Hosting systems can provide delivery in a variety of bit rates and formats. Using the latest streaming server platforms including Flash, Windows Media, Real or QuickTime, Astream can deliver large numbers of simultaneous streams to the Internet. Streams can also be delivered directly to a corporate WANs or operator networks for redistribution.
Your content can also be protected by our Digital Rights Management or URLhide programs.
 
Streaming Webcasting Formats Codecs

Our LinkGen system can provide you with automatically generated reference files. This is particularly useful if you have a large amount of content in multiple formats. The system will automatically look for new files, create an asx, mov or ram reference file and send you the link. For Flash it will send you the URL. PlayerGen is available if you need a flash player to be produced instead.

Our Network providers including Global Crossing and Fibernet interconnect directly with all Tier 1 Backbone providers. These providers carry approximately 85 - 95% of all Internet traffic. We have access to over 500 peers and 28 Gbps of dedicated peering capacity in North America and over 600 peer networks connected.

These global Internet connections are fully fault tolerant, fibre optic links that run in a multiple ring topology.
